Borrowing and returning books
Borrow and return
A self-service machine for loans is available at level K1. Another machine for both borrowing and returning is located on the entrance level (level 0) by the right entrance (enter from Lägerhyddsvägen). After returning material in the machine, please place it in the book drop. You may return books borrowed at our other libraries.
Books for pickup
Books that you have ordered or queued for can be found on a shelf on the right-hand side of the book drop (entrance level).
Interlibrary loans and articles
Interlibrary loans do not need to be registered in the self-service machine. Copies of articles are sent via internal mail (for teachers and researchers).
Finding your way in the collections
All course books are located in the round, right-hand shelf on the entrance level (level 0). Other books are located on both floors.
Ångström Makerspace is an open workshop for the University's students and staff. Here you have access to 3D printers, soldering stations, Arduinos and a sewing machine. Occasionally, courses and workshops are held. To use the 3D-printers you need a 3D printer driver’s licence.
Food and drink
- Coffee, drinks and snacks are okay, but food is not allowed in the library.
- There is a cafe and a lunch restaurant in other parts of the building.
- Information Technology
- Physics and Astronomy
- Engineering and Technology
The same books might also available at other libraries.
There are lifts between the two floors. The entrance doors open automatically.
