Hugo Alfvén Collection

Hugo Alfvén (1872-1960) was a Swedish composer, conductor, violinist, and painter. He was Director musices (music director) at the University of Uppsala between the years 1910 and 1939, and led among other the university orchestra Kungliga Akademiska kapellet as well as the choirs Orphei Drängar and Allmänna Sången.

The Hugo Alfvén Collection consists principally of Alfvén's work in the composer's own hand. There is no special catalogue but the Collection is incorporated in the general music catalogues.
