The unique Uppsala temperature series is one of the worlds best examples of the value of open and accessible data. When Anders Celsius was a grad student in the 1720’s, the Uppsala researchers started conducting daily meteorological measurements, that have continued on until today, and into the future.
These 18th century researchers could hardly have anticipated how important their data would be, 300 years into their future!
The lecture will be held in english. There will be a sandwich and coffe/tea, first come first served.
